During the summer a curious GCSE student embarks on a unique journey into the realm of architecture at MPSL. Nestled in the heart of urban creativity, MPSL promises a glimpse into both the artistry of design and the bustling energy of a professional office.
Entering the sleek glass doors, Luca is greeted by the hum of activity—architects engrossed in blueprints, the soft whirr of computers, and the occasional collaborative buzz of ideas. It’s a symphony of creativity, and our intrepid student is ready to immerse themselves in this dynamic environment.
From day one, he is welcomed into the fold, assigned a mentor who becomes a guiding light through the intricacies of architectural exploration. This isn’t just a glimpse into the world of drafting tables and scale models; it’s an opportunity to witness first-hand the marriage of creativity and precision.
Each day dedicated to the fundamentals—the principles of design, the intricacies of architectural history, and the symbiotic relationship between form and function. The student finds themselves sketching visions of their own, guided by mentors who have sculpted skylines and conceptualized spaces.
The summer at MPSL isn’t just about learning to design; it’s about understanding the collaborative nature of architectural projects. Luca discovered the importance of teamwork—the architects, engineers, and project managers working in harmony to turn visions into reality. Each brick laid, each beam installed is a testament to the collective effort driving architectural innovation.
During his time with us, Luca successfully completed the Skills section required for his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, set to be granted this month. Congratulations, Luca!
We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
