Our multidisciplinary offer allows you to access a professional, experienced team of consultants under one instruction which can save you the time and effort of assembling a team. We are pleased to work with you from project inception, and can even source sites if you require, through to start on site.
We understand how critical it is to our clients to complete an early assessment of the site’s potential prior to significant investment. We are pleased to offer our services to complete an initial site feasibility prior to a direct appointment.
Once we had secured a place on the Innovation Chain North framework, the first steps we took to maximise our opportunities were to arrange meetings with all the clients, consultants and contractors who were also on the framework. The objective being to build relationships and understand the process as it was our first time on the framework. Then we could showcase what we can offer at MPSL.
After numerous meetings one thing we noticed, was to be successful (in any business), we needed to think outside the box, especially when in terms of the framework we were the new kids on the block. Following this, the collaboration approach was born.
We met with Stuart and Justin at Hive Land and Planning who were ‘first-timers’ on the framework too and we began to brainstorm. What could we offer that would make the most of this opportunity and how could we stand out from the crowd of equally successful consultants – then the idea came to us… offer a joint approach with Hive!
As conversations progressed, we considered the process and what would be a good fit in terms of a perfect consultancy team, our conclusion was the need for a civil & structural engineer. This would enable our offering to be a strong one, ensuring all issues are understood from the start of the project minimising risk and unnecessary spend.
With our existing strong relationship as the driver we met with Kenny at Alan Johnston Partnership and concluded the relationship.
After another successful meeting, it was agreed. All three companies would collaborate together to create a ‘one stop shop’ offering our expertise, initially at an ‘at risk’ basis until the scheme kicks off, then we would be retained by the client to go full steam ahead with the project.
Part of our service is an ‘Initial site Overview’ document which will give the client an in depth look at what is viable on the site, what constraints there may be, planning considerations and a high level site review which will enable our client to understand exactly what, in reality, can be achievable on the scheme.
This has worked well for us due to our historical relationships with both companies. We know how each other works, each others processes and as a result our working synergy is strong.
MPSL, AJP & Hive have a very similar outlook on where we see the future of construction and by working together under the ICN Framework we can offer a package of specialist services including architectural, planning, surveying and engineering expertise.
We have had a really positive response to our offering and have put this in to practice on several schemes, which has given us the confidence to offer this service to clients who are not part of the framework too!
