MPSL were appointed by Great Places through the Innovation Chain North (ICN) Framework in 2022 to design a scheme of 46 new affordable at the former Our Lady’s School site.

The Process

MPSL were appointed under the ICN Framework to provide Architectural Services (Stage 1 & 2) for the construction of 46 affordable homes for the Great Places Housing Group.

MPSL worked alongside Casey Group, the appointed contractor to ensure a commercially viable scheme was designed taken seamlessly to construction stage.

Completion of the development is due in 2025.

The Design

Materials take reference from the local vernacular, ensuing that the site will fit within its setting. As such, properties have been designed to feature red multi facing bricks and grey roof tiles.

Architectural details include a contrasting brick band course and window heads, artstone window cills, flat door canopies, white PVC window frames, fascias, and barge boards, and black rainwater goods and meter boxes.

A range of house types across the Site will create a variety and interest within the streetscapes.

The Progress

Great Progress is being made on site with completion in 2025
