Former Hartshead Power Station Site Gets the Green Light

19 September 2024 | Projects | By Nick Brown

We thrilled to announce that the redevelopment of the former Hartshead Power Station site in Stalybridge has taken a significant step forward. The planning committee for Tameside Council has approved our application, paving the way for a transformative project that will revitalise the area and create a thriving community.

The construction of 162 new homes will provide much-needed housing and stimulate job creation. Furthermore, significant contributions to local services and infrastructure will ensure that the community can thrive for generations to come.

While the final decision rests with the Secretary of State, Angela Rayner, the positive outcome from the planning committee is a major milestone. The development is expected to proceed subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement.

It is fantastic to be a part of the Hartshead Power Station redevelopment is. By transforming a derelict site into a vibrant community, we are helping to create a legacy that will benefit Stalybridge for years to come.
